The Mission
Ministering with Movies is a ministry using film clips and/or full-length feature films to support spiritual,
religious, and/or faith teachings. If we can recognize spiritual truths in film, we can recognize them in life.
The History
In 1999, while teaching at an all-female Catholic high school, a course was developed entitled, "Theology and Film".
The success of the course was the encouragement to bring this technique to parishes, conventions, and lay staff via retreats,
workshops and presentations.
Examples of Topics:
- Film as Spiritual Journey
- Choosing Love or Choosing Fear: Moments in Movies
- You are the Hero of Your Life: Being Who You Were Created To Be
- Scripture on the Screen
- Discipleship in Film
- Morality and Movies
